I was very surprised and upset when I heard about Chico. It really is tragic when something like this happens. My heart goes out to his family who I know he cared a lot about. I always liked Chico. We had what I would call a friendly rivalry when we got into the ring. “We had two amazing fights and our names will be linked forever. For me, it was a privilege knowing Chico and being part of such great fights” - Jose Luis Castillo

Boxing has lost a giant and I’ve lost a rival and fierce competitor. My career will forever be linked to this man. I am deeply saddened to hear the tragic news. My heart goes out to Corrales’ beautiful family…May Chico forever rest in peace. -Joel Casamayor
Diego was an inspiration to watch! I knew every time he was on the fight card I would see something very special. I have been a fight fan for at least 25 years and when I heard the news about his passing I felt like I lost one of my own. We will miss you “DIEGO CHICO CORRALES”!!! -Rodolfo

To day boxing lost a true sportsman’ Chico gave us the fans bouts we could only dream about’’ r.i.p. ‘Chico” now you can spare with god’’ Ben

I'm still very sad that Diego has passed, it feels surreal. He and I became friends back in the late 90's in Las Vegas. I will always remember him as a stand up good guy, always happy and fun to be around and I'm sure his family will as well. My heart goes out to his wife and children left behind. May they always know that their dad was great man as well a great fighter.  -Charron
Just want to send my condolensces. Chico was a true warrior and a rare breed of boxer. Please to show my support I would like to purchase any kind of t-shirt, sweatshirt or anything that reflects this soldiers image name. i want to walk down the street and people ask who's that, and my reply will be a boxer that either did the knocking out or got knocked a true throwback boxer that dodged no one. So please send information when you can to this address and I have friends that were hardcore Diego fans as well.   Thank you and GOD BLESS DIEGO "CHICO" CORALES -Clifton Miller

I just heard the bad news about Deigo...... I am very sorry to hear this.  I wish him the best. Diego was a great fighter in the ring, but he also taught me that no matter how bad things can get outside the ring, you should never give up.....not because you will always win, but because those are the times that define you.  Thank you Chico, Dan Angeles
