Corrales vs Castillo iii
The Nevada Athletic Commission met at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport on August 24th and handed down the punishment to Jose Louis Castillo for his inept attempts to make weight for his scheduled fight with Diego Corrales on June 3rd.
The commission rules to fine Castillo $250,000, the maximum fine allowed without a purse and as suspended him from fighting through the end of the year. The Commission had the discretion to revoke Castillo's license, meaning Castillo would have to have a hearing next June to have his license reinstated, but opted to only suspend him through the end of 2006.

"Uno Mas!" . . . "One More Time!" -- the world lightweight championship rematch between Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Castillo, takes place Saturday, October 8, at Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, NV. Promoted by Gary Shaw Productions and Top Rank, in association with Caesars Palace and Wynn Las Vegas, will be broadcast live on SHOWTIME Pay-Per-View begining at 9 P.M. ET / 6 P.M. PT
It evoked m ore emotions than any script ever produced in Hollywood. On October 8, 2005, Diego "Chico" Corrales (40-2, 33 KOs) and Jose Luis Castillo (52-7-1, 46 KOs) will produce the sequel to their first encounter in Las Vegas, Nevada of what was at very least the fight of the decade. How do I know this? It was all in the emotions. I knew I hadn't been on such a rollercoaster ride since the eighties when fights like Hagler vs. Hearns and Lupe Pintor Vs. Wilfredo Gomez left you with a racing heart and a nerve racked mess. Throw in a little bit of controversy involving the stoppage itself and the spitting out of the mouthpiece at an opportune time by Corrales and the elements of a true classic had been established.
